Dear members,

I checked the spoonbills again this morning. In Pond 6, I saw one has three rings, yellow on left leg, red and green on right leg.

This bird was ringed in the nest in North Korea some years ago (very possibly during summer 1995). I saw this bird in Vietnam, December 1999 too. This bird had also not been recorded in Hong Kong before. Interesting is that this bird was firstly seen again in Japan, December to April 1995, then in Vietnam, December 1999, and now in Mai Po, November 2002.

It is also the first record of spoonbill appearing in three different places in different years, and the longevity record of this species.
