Tern Survey 5/6/04 燕鷗調查

燕鷗研究組將會在六月五日(星期六)進行燕鷗調查，行程如下：
- 早上九時正從西貢碼頭出發
- 在本港東部及東南部水域調察燕鷗繁殖情況(不包括大鵬灣)
- 約於下午五時在銅鑼灣結束。
歡迎香港觀鳥會會員參加，名額有限，先到先得。船費將由參加者集資支付，每人 約需一百元以下。
有興趣者請將姓名和聯絡電話電郵至twatch2004@yahoo.com.hk報名，或利用此新 聞組的電郵功能給燕鷗研究組留言。
注意：
- 調查沿途不會靠岸，參加者請自備足夠糧水。
- 由於路程頗長，而且所經之處大多是開闊海域，風浪較大，部份人士可能會感到不 適。
- 是次活動純屬私人性質，參加者需自行承擔所有責任。
The Tern Study Group will conduct a tern survey on Saturday, 5 June 04 as follows:
- 09:00 start from Sai Kung Pier
- Survey tern breeding activities in eastern and southeastern waters (Mirs Bay not included)
- Finish at around 17:00 at Causeway Bay.
Members of HKBWS are welcome to join. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. The rent for the boat will be shared equally among the participants, at less than $100 each.
Those interested please email your names and contact phone numbers to twatch2004@yahoo.com.hk, or drop a note to the Tern Study Group using the email function in this BBS.
Note:
- We will not land enroute, so please bring your lunch and enough drinking water.
- This will be a long trip on open waters. The ride could be quite rough and some people may be seasick.
- This will be a private activity. The organizer will not accept any liability for whatever harm, injury or loss that the participant may suffer as a result of participating in the event.

星期六的調查尚餘少量空位，有興趣參加者請從速報名。 參加者最遲需在今天（六月三日）之內報名，並且得到電郵或電話確認之後才能登船。
請在當日九時正之前在西貢公眾碼頭集合。
There are still some places left for the survey this Saturday. Those interested please register on or before today (3 June). Only those who have registered and have received confirmation (by phone or email) will be allowed to board.
Please come to Sai Kung Public Pier before 09:00 on Saturday.

昨天共有二十多人參加了燕鷗調查。可能是時間尚早，燕鷗還未全部到港的關係，在各觀察點見到的數目都比去年少，但是也有一個去年沒有燕鷗的地點今年再度見到黑枕燕鷗，另在兩個地點還見到不少白腰雨燕。
多得Mike C.鳥友指出，我們可以清楚的欣賞一對遊隼在空中「拍拖」和俯衝的表演。
Over twenty persons took part in yesterday's survey. Perhaps it was still early in the season, tern counts at all locations are fewer than last year. However we did find some Black-naped Terns at an old site where none was seen last year. Good numbers of Pacific Swifts were also found at two locations.
Thanks to Mike C., we got very good views of a pair of Peregrine Falcons soaring high in the sky, and witnessed their spectacular diving skill.
