Hi LWO, Thanks for sharing the photo. It is interesting to see our old friends in other countries. The weather seemed fine and the sea was calm, and you have a firm base for your telescope! Terns in Hong Kong are under threat from human disturbance. Do you have a similar problem in Thailand? Any other tern species? Regards, Tern Group

Hi Tern Group & Forrest Fong, Sorry , I forgot to put the date that I took this photo. I took this photo and my first time saw this spp. when I went to Surin Island on middle of April last two year. I interested on Black-naped Tern in other countries as HongKong too. Thailand is the mainland but have long peninsula and many island. We have many Tern spp. almost are visitor. Black-naped Tern is the one that resident in Thailand. It's likes to staying in island more than mainland. Besides, Black-naped Tern I saw one adult breeding Roseate Tern that mix in Black-naped Tern flock also. Anyone have the photo of Roseate Tern in breeding Plu? Yes sir! Terns in Thailand were under threated from human disturbance; collecting eggs from the fisherman and tourist when visit to island. Best regards, lwo
