The Conservation Committee is now having discussion with AFCD on the ways to protect the tern breeding site found at a small island near Tap Mun. If you know there are other tern breeding sites, e.g. some outlying tiny islands at Sai Kung, or if you have seen or heard any disturbance to the tern breeding site, please tell us as soon as possible.

You can post your opinion or idea for discussion on methods to prevent any further disturbance to the island with tern breeding. Please share your view on the proposal to designate the breeding site as restricted area. You can also send your comment directly to AFCD for their consideration.

If we can get more opinions and supports from you, the Government will definitely do somethings immediately to improve the protection and even speed up the process of designating the tern breeding site as restricted area.
