Post by Anguslau on May 31st, 2003, 4:21pm 181 Caspian Tern 紅咀巨鷗 MPNR pond 16/17 米埔 16/17塘 29/5/2003 All photos taken at MPNR pond 16/17 on 29-May-03 with D60 + EF300 + 1.4x converter. I am guessing the two smaller ones with black bills are immature birds of the same kind. Or are they different species ??? http://www.geocities.com/anguskmlau/030529_8964.jpg http://www.hkbws.org.hk/fileServer/PhotoG/anguslau/anguslauctern02.jpg http://www.geocities.com/anguskmlau/030529_8891.jpg http://www.hkbws.org.hk/fileServer/PhotoG/anguslau/anguslauctern03.jpg Caspian Tern & Gull-billed Tern

Post by Anguslau on Jun 3rd, 2003, 9:43am Thanks, Forrest! This was the first time I saw these birds. I just thought that they were a family of four as they stayed together all the time while I was watching. :P |
