I think the second picture is a Whiskered Tern in non-breeding plummage. But I don't know why the bird in the third picture had a yellowish forehead. |

Title: Re: Whiskered Tern 鬚浮鷗 Post by BERNARD on May 6th, 2003, 12:11pm Hi Daniel, I cropped out about 70% area for the 1st pic. (ISO200)So I sharpened it with photoshop. It appears less noisy or grainy without sharpening but more blurred. It was about 5:20 pm and I underexposed my picture to gain shutter speed. Then I use digital exposure compensation to light it up. But it lights up the noise as well. The 2nd and 3rd pics (about 5:45 pm) used ISO400 and also become grainy and noisy. The 3rd pic is worst since I cropped out about 80%. Just used this pic to show the yellowish forehead. Bernard. |
