很可惜，根據這本微生物學教科書，「日本腦炎病毒的主要脊椎動物宿主是夜鷺及其他水禽，而病毒可在豬隻裏繁殖」。 
Unfortunately, according to this microbiology textbook, "Important vertebrate reservoirs [of the Japanese encephalitis virus] are black-crowned night herons and other water birds, while pigs are considered to be an amplifying host."
