A joint study by the Conservancy Association and HKU found an active Painted Snipe nest at re-cultivated farmland at Long Valley.

【明報專訊】塱原是本港少數的淡水濕地，長春社與港大合作的研究發現，稀有的彩鷸在一片復耕的菜田上築巢，顯示這種稀有雀鳥選擇了這片濕地為家。研究又發現，塱原的多種生境之中，以人工濕地錄得最多雀鳥，兩個月內錄得10種共192隻 ，估計與植物種類較多有關係。

彩鷸警覺性高，平時隱沒在草叢之中，難以拍得其廬山真面目，其巢穴更甚少曝光。長春社高級項目主任戚曉麗表示，研究隊伍今年7月30日在一片復耕的濕地上 ，發現彩鷸的巢及蛋，顯示塱原至少有一對彩鷸在此棲息及繁殖。該處早前曾清除 植物殺手薇甘菊，相信亦有助雀鳥重投這片濕地的懷抱。

對一妻多夫的彩鷸來說, 能以多少 "對" 來計算嗎... ::) ??? :P

一個巢就當然最少有一對，兩個巢就最少有個嬲字。 :P
