[Falcons] Besra 松雀鷹

Besra 松雀鷹

This bird was hit onto the window's door and got faint for a while. It was found to have some blood on its beak and we thought it might be get internal injures. When we put it in the box, it stay motionless for a while. We planned to take it to KFBG for checking up, but once we lift up the box and the bird just took off his flight and direct to a plantation. We lost it in the wood and hope it will be OK. The blood on its beak maybe from its prey, as its claws had some feathers on that.

Rescued Besra

Hi,
I agree that the blood on the birds beak is most likely from prey that has recently been eaten.

We see alot of window strike cases and many of them cause mild or temporary concusion.  Usually all is needed is to place the bird in a safe, dark & quiet environment such as a cardboard box for 30 minutes or so to allow it to recover, so you did exactly the right thing.
The fact that the bird became active and was able to fly from the box so quickly is a very good sign and from my experience the Besra will be fine.
