Very interesting photos, all four sets - thanks for sharing.

Very nice series of photos - you obviously had a good trip.

However, I think that the birds labelled as Graceful Prinia are Common Babbler; while the bird labelled as Lesser Whitethroat seems to me to have a white iris which would make it an Orphean Warbler.

Best regards

I agree with Mike about the Graceful Prinia being Common Babbler.
I disagree about the Lesser Whitethraot though - I think the apparently pale iris is actually caused by a combination of white lower eye-ring and a glint of light in the eye. The actual eye looks dark to me, and I think this is a Lesser Whitethroat.

Great photos by the way!

The Red-throated Flycatcher is a Red-breasted, and the female Black Redstart looks like a female Pied Bushchat to me.

You are right John, I should know not to just look at one (apparent) feature! I agree with Paul on the flycatcher and the bushchat. Incidentally the oriole is now usually split from European birds as Indian Golden Oriole - note the black behind the eye.

A big thank you for all your comments and for helping me to correctly identify these birds.

And sorry that the photo of the Lesser Whitethroat does not show the bird's eye clearly.
The following photo shows this feature better.

The wrong captions of the photos have been corrected.

I have added 1 photo of female Black Redstart. Please correct me if this is not a female Black Redstart.
