Mist Nets at Ho Chung Again

Mist Nets at Ho Chung Again

18/3/07

Mist nets were found at at least 2 farms along the stream at Ho Chung today.

The findings have been emailed to AFCD.  Hope that the massacre in April last year won't happen again.

No mist net was found next to the stream, but the plots next to the houses are still covered with them today.  An email has been sent to AFCD.

I was at Mai Po last Friday, and looking at these photos, I just realised that there may be some mist-nets at the pond to the west of Pond 24 (the track that leads over a wooden bridge) in the Nam Sang Wai direction and then stops at a dead end.  I think that pond probably is not Mai Po "proper", but is very close-by.

How do I let the Mai Po WWF know or AFCD please?

Reporting illegal mist-nets

The AFCD member of staff who investigates illegal mist-nets is Mr Wong Che Lok. As I have found out recently , he responds promptly when alerted to such cases. However, his e-mail address on an earlier web-site posting is incorrect. It should be this:

   <cl_wong@afcd.gov.hk>
