Thanks John, You got a very beautiful photo. I think both of them are Pacific Golden Plover. The golden one is an adult and the black one is a juvenile. Grey Plover (30cm) is larger than Pacific Golden Plover (23cm) alot

But the adult PGP should have black underparts by a broad white line ( as describe in my Bible ).

That is the breeding plumage. What we saw yesterday is in non-breeding plumage.
