This is another bird I took on the same day and place.
Place: Ha Pak Lai
Date: 23/10/2015

Is this a Kentish's Plover or Swinhoe's Plover?

despite this bird is having very pale leg, the bill shape and overall plumage would suggest more a Kentish Plover...

Thanks Jonathmartinez!

But may I ask why the book - "The Birds of Hong Kong and South China" describes Kentish Plover (charadrius alexandrinus) as follows:
"In all plumages, differ from Littled Ringed Plover by dark legs and white wing bar and from sand plovers by white collar."

Whereas Taiwan Bird Book P172 of charadrius alexandrinus shows the leg colour varies from pink to greyish black.

I guess author of Bird of HK and SC may have overlooked this aspect of Kentish Plover legs coloration...

Thanks a lot Jonathmartinez!
