原來不是只有台灣有水雉
台灣的水雉都喜歡生活在菱角田上,很少在開闊水域見到 ; 目前聽說剩不到 200 隻

香港也有水雉，但不像台灣，香港的都是過境鳥，沒有繁殖記錄。

I heard that the Jacana site at Tinghushan, Guangdong has not been doing well, due to development pressure. So many Jacanas may need to find another breeding site in Guangdong. HK actually get a higher of records of Jacana in the last several years. I would not be too surprised if Jacana were found breeding in HK in the next few years.
