白腰杓鷸屍體懷疑帶有H5禽流感病毒 Suspected case of H5 positive

早前一隻在米埔自然保護區撿走的白腰杓鷸屍體懷疑對H5禽流感病毒的初步測試呈陽性反應,署方正繼續作進一步確定測試。世界自然基金會已就此作出以下相關的措施:

1.        於保護區入口處設置消毒地毯
2.        於保護主要室內設施如觀鳥屋及教育中心設置酒精搓手液
3.        加強保護區設施如觀鳥屋及木橋扶的清潔

請訪客時刻保持良好的個人衞生,避免接觸任何野生動物及其身體任何部份包括糞便。如發現禽鳥屍體,可以致電1823通知漁農自然護理署。

A carcass of a Eurasian Curlew found in the Mai Po Nature Reserve was suspected to be positive for the H5 avian influenza virus based on preliminary testing. WWF has been taking the following measures:

1.        A footbath with disinfectant setup at reserve entrance
2.        Alcohol sanitizer gel is available at all major indoor facilities includeinh birdhides and Education Centre.
3. Enhance hygiene at all birdhides and boardwalk handrails

All visitors should maintain a good personal hygiene, avoid any contact with wildlife including its body parts and droppings. If you encounter any dead bird, please contact Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department at 1823.
