Speckled Piculet at Brides Pool 新娘潭有姬啄木鳥

Speckled Piculet at Brides Pool 新娘潭有姬啄木鳥

I saw a Speckled Piculet hammering away on a thin branch beside Brides Pool Nature Trail at about 8:15 this morning (14 March).

Directions: From the main Brides Pool car park, go through the grand entrance ("Brides Pool Barbecue Site") & down the steps about 50 metres or so towards BBQ site # 15. The bird was on the right just below a Country Park sign numbered "oint 16".

The upper section of the Nature Trail was quite birdy, with lots of bulbuls, white-eyes, flowerpeckers & sunbirds, a Grey-headed Flycatcher, some phylloscs, a pair of Scarlet Minivets & a White-bellied Yuhina.
