Mount Davis

This is a hill on the north-west corner of Hong Kong Island, near Pok Fu Lam. It can be good for migrants, especially during spring and autumn. The top of the mountain also has good sea view, and several raptors have been seen, including Peregrine, Japanese Sparrowhawk, Common Buzzard and good numbers of Black Kites. There is a youth hostel at the top and the birding is done around here and on the road leading up to it. There is also a road which follows the contour of the hill and leads to an area with larger trees after passing thruogh an area of scrubland.

To get there, bus 5B from Causeway Bay and passing through Central to the terminus which at Mount Davis.
