Banded on 4 June 2002
All birds were banded with a big numbered red band on the right tibia and a combination of 3 smaller color bands on the left. Metal bands were also put on left tarsus.

- 11 Black-faced Spoonbills were captured and fitted with green leg bands in Hong Kong in early December. Green bands were placed on the right legs of the birds, with craved white numbers A27 - A37 on. There are no color bands on the left legs (radio-transmitters were placed on the left legs).

Tainan, Taiwan: all birds banded with a big numbered blue color band on the right and two smaller color bands on the left.
