I saw a Collared Crow sitting on a telegraph pole in Clearwater Bay yesterday evening. This was my first sighting of this species in 20m of living in the area. The Avifauna suggests this is not a typical site. I'd be interested to know whether others have seen any. At the same time a White-bellied sea eagle flew over

Hi Andrew Collared Crows seem to be spreading at present from their stronghlds on Dong Ping Chau and especially Deep Bay. Richard Lewthwaite had 77 at Shuen Wan a couple of weeks ago and I saw a couple at the Hong Lok Yuen Roundabout at the bottom of Lam Tsuen a couple of months ago. I also saw them from South Horizons several years ago going to and from Aberdeen Country Park. They do wander - but a nice record nonetheless. I've seen the WB Sea Eagle that hangs around Central a few times recently also. Cheers Mike K
