This kite was sunning itself opposite my house this morning and I couldn't resist the chance to take these pictures. I used a canon 1D II and a 500mm f4 lens with 1.4x and 2x TCs at f11, ISO 400, 1/640 Andrew

#1 is fabulous! Rare occassion to witness its body and underwing under direct sunlight! Great details and sharpness for a stacked converter shot!!

Thanks very much. I took about 60 shots in 10 minutes and still have to check some of them but of the ones I have checked these are the best so far. Next time i want to use mirror lock up. Andrew

明天約了攝影師拍空軍徽章照,先練習一下。 Perhaps it was preparing to model for some national emblem / air force insignia.

Sorry Forrest These photos were taken on the 26th November from my home in Pik Sha Road, Clearwater Bay, a well known raptor watchspot ( ). I moved here 11 months ago and have seen the following raptors: Black kite Kestrel Common buzzard Crested serpent eagle Crested goshawk White-bellied sea eagle By the way "The Spread Eagle" is a common Public House name in the UK. A sign of my mispent youth. Andrew
