It was my first visit to the boardwalk hides yesterday morning after a long absence. I too was deeply disturbed by what appears to be layers and layers of fine nets planted across a wide area of Deep Bay on the MPNR side. No wonder the birds are not to be seen anywhere closer to the hides… 
Where is our Police and AFCD

根本中港兩地沒有溝通，何來不足？

I was also deeply disappointed with the scene yesterday. It made broadwalk of Mai Po not a good place to see birds despite of a very good high-tide yesterday.

As a green group or local organization, WWF and HKBWS would have no power to implement any law in the reserve. I think what WWF and HKBWS (or actually all of us) can do is to report what we see to the Authorities, like AFCD and Police. And as I know, WWF does record and report to AFCD once they see any fisherman on the mudflat.
As a bird lover, I urge all of you report the matter to authorities, and this is the only way to let them beware of the current situation, and more importantly, speed up their “slow motion”.
