There are two kinds of records.   1. Records that are typical in terms of numbers, site, time of year and species. These can be entered into a simple Excel file with the column headings:   species no. species name (both from the Avifauna) date number of birds place notes observer name   2. Records that are unusual because of the species involved (see HKBR 1998 for a list of these), or because of the number of birds involved, the location or the time of year (check the Avifauna if you are unsure). There is a standard submission form which is available elsewhere on this website.
