any advice for the 800mm len 徵詢購買 800mm 鏡頭的意見

hey, all
I want to buy the 800mm len for Canon 20D...
any suggestion ? Which one is better ?
Sigma ? Canon ? Lecia ? any tips and where I can buy it ? How much is the cost about ? Thanks a lot

I am using Nikon 800mm with Canon EOS system via an adaptor, and being able to use the AV mode.

Nikon 800mm is about HK$50,000 street price, I guess. I haven't check the price for a long time.
Russian F-->EOS adaptor costs about HK$300.
Noveflex F-->EOS adaptor cost about HK$1000.

Nikkor Ais 800/5.6 is now discontinued as with most, if not all, manual lenses in the Nikon lineup. Look for it in the second hand market or in your case if you really need a 800 I'd go with Sigma AF 800 as Hendrix has suggested. Of course Leica has the modular 800 combo as well.
Having said that a EF600/4 with TC(s) should be plenty for bird photography. It's the shooting technique and ways of getting near to your subject that count ...
