Message on the Oriental Bird Club e-mail group on 27 December 2002, for members reference: Quote" Dear OBers, Just to let you know that 11 Black-faced Spoonbills were captured and fitted with green leg bands in Hong Kong in early December. Green bands were placed on the right legs of the birds, with craved white numbers A27 - A37 on. There are no color bands on the left legs (radio-transmitters were placed on the left legs). Please inform the Yamashina Institute and the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society if you see the birds in the field. E-mail addresses: Yamashina Institute (Mr. Ozaki) ozaki@yamashina.or.jp Hong Kong Bird Watching Society (Mr. Yu) [emial]ytyu@hkstar.com[/email] Best regards for 2003.
