I visited Kenya in September (7.9.03 - 12.9.03). This was not a birding trip. just a package tour. I was lucky that I could take some birds photos there. These are 2 0f them.

More bird photos are available in this online photo album:

I tried to identify these birds with field guides, and books and websites with bird photos, but I am still uncertain about the identities of many of these birds. e.g. I think the Sunbird above is a Beautiful Sunbird, but I am not sure. If you know the correct names of any of the birds in the online photo album, please send me an email and tell me. I will be grateful for your advice.

Wow!   CY, what a show you have put up ...

I particularly like those shots on flamingos and pelicans; wished they were in a larger viewing format

Were they all shot with your new 400 DO lens this time?

Thanks for sharing!

Dear birders,
I am glad that you enjoyed watching these photos taken in Kenya.

Birdwatcher A,
I'd be pleased to share these photos with other members in an indoor meeting. I can bring my notebook computer or just a CD-rom with these photos, I hope they won't mind that I am too lazy to prepare any hard copies for these photos.

Mr. Hui,
I like the photos of flamingos too because the sunlight at that moment produced very charming colors.
I uploaded the photos as 640pixels x 480pixels images,
it is a pity that they are displayed in a much smaller viewing format in the Yahoo photo album.
Most of these photos were taken with D60 + 100-400mm zoom lens, a few of them were taken with cp4500. I took the 100-400mm lens for this trip because it is lighter and it could be used  for both animal shots and bird shots.
