Verditer Flycatcher.

Tai Po Kau Park continues to be very productive. I was there this morning and saw what is presumably the same Verditer Flycatcher along with Japanese Thrush, Asian Brown Flycatcher, Red-flanked Bluetail, 2 Ashy Drongos, 2 Black-winged Cuckooshrikes, 2-3 Chinese Hwamei etc.

I never see Japanese Thrush in Tai Po Kau.  Did you find it in Red/blue talk?

By the way, what is the best way birding in Tai Po Kau?  I usually walk around to find birds but always find very few birds.  Is it better if I stay in a spot and wait for birds?

I usually begin at Tai Po Kau Park - three minutes walk from the forest reserve entrance along the road towards Sha Tin. That's where I saw the birds I mentioned yesterday. Best early morning. The Japanese Thrush is at the bottom end of the park and is amazingly tame.

Tai Po Kau itself is always hit-and-miss. I tend to do the Red Walk (and the Blue Walk loop) in a clockwise direction and hope I come across a bird wave.

It was Tai Po Kau Park not Tai Po Kau Reserve, I was wrong.

I have only been to Tai Po Kau Park once for the Great Barbet.  May be I try to find birds there next time.  Thanks.

Thank you for confirming Verditer Flycatcher.

I have been to Tai Po Kau Park 3 times, it is really very productive. Some birds I took there.
