Please help to ID a bird. Many thanks!

Scene: foot hill of Mt. Davis

Saw a yellow-crested cuckatoo mobbing a small raptor (seemingly) which went into a forest. My apologies for the photos' poor quality as they were quite far away and my 500mm lens was inadequate. Please can someone help identifying this brown-coloured bird?  Much appreciated!

I am a new member and this is my first post. Not sure if this is the right way to ask? Thanks anyway!

It's either a Crested Goshawk or a Besra. I think probably a Crested Goshawk, but I'm not 100% sure. They're predators, and the cockatoos really don't like them, but I usually just hear them calling rather than actually chasing them away.

Unfortunately my photos didn't lend themselves into easy ID. But many thanks to ajohn for narrowing down the possibilities. Much appreciated!
