[Hong Kong] A black collared starling with two legs tied by a rubber band...

A black collared starling with two legs tied by a rubber band...

Today in the Tsing Yi Park...
I saw a Black collared starling sitting on a tree branch. It jumped with one leg. When looked carefully, its two legs were tied by a rubber band and two legs were crossed!! So it was not able to grip the branch...It tried to flap its wings to make itself balance.........Finally, it dropped....but it used its bill to "hang" on a branch.................I feel so sad for this scene.........

It finally dropped to the ground but luckily, its wings was fine and it could land on the ground safely....I tried to catch it by myself, but due to its healthy wings....I can't do that. Finally, it flew away.....

In fact, I dont know if the "band" on its legs was a rubber band. Also, I dont know if this was done by any human being. But, I personally think that THIS WAS NOT A NATURAL SCENE!

I speculate that It was trapped by someone with some methods. Then someone played it and then tied it with a rubber band. This is just my deduction only...

I really want to know if I conld do something for it?
It can fly, it can escape. SPCE and KFBG should also can't catch it I think.
In this situation, what can I do?
Thank you.....

As you suggest, I think the best option may be to contact SPCA, KFBG or AFCD to see whether they can relocate the bird and capture it safely. If it is simply trapped by a rubber band, as you think, it should be able to survive easily if the rubber band can be removed.

Thank you, John. But it could fly and was difficult to approach. Is it possible to call one of those organization to catch it?

fatchun! if you find the bird again and the bird is not so active, you may try to call SPCA 27111000!
