Great photos!! Surely that must be a Chestnut-flanked White-eye or is that just some extreme pigmentation on a Japanese White-eye?

跟據自日本買到的鳥書表示, 日本有部份相思亞種, 跟香港見到的亞種有少許地方不同, 包括腹部的顏色.

Yes, the Japanese White-eye in Japan looks different to those in HK.
Also interesting is the Japanese Bush Warbler, which was once believed as same to those in Hong Kong but now identified as different species. Someone asked in other thread in this forum about this, and your photo clearly show the difference in appearance.
