[Oversea] Phang Nga, Thailand

Phang Nga, Thailand

We were in Phuket for 5 days for a family wedding and decided to spend a 1.5 days at the end of the trip to do some birding .. we were there over X'mas break but all the guides were booked well in advance and therefore being alone and not knowing where to look it was fairly unsuccessful .. this time, we were not to make the same mistake, I got in touch with the owner of www.phuketbirdwatching.com, Mr Ike Suriwong and arrange for him to take us around.

Field Report

Ike does this freelance and was far more reasonable in price than the others, which can cost up to 8000 Bhat per person per day .. , although far more reasonable, he was no less professional!!

The highlight was of course the Banded Pitta ..

Wonderful shots Wilson.

I'd be interested to know what other birds you saw as I'll be in Phuket myself in April.
Cheers
