I got a pair in a small mixed bird wave (the only one I got in two days) on a road by the dam. The pair was with a Pygmy Woodpecker, a few varied tits and a single Japanese Leaf Warbler.

There is no photo of juvenile Ryukyu Robin Erithacus komadori namiyei (Okinawa I. subspecies) on the web or in any publication.  If you got one, I really like to see it.

Sorry Fai Gor, I only saw adults and the females were quite shy actually, so no picture of those either.

Hi Ronaldo
Excellent photos!
This is a trip I've often thought about doing for just a couple of days - would be very easy for me in relation to work.
Did you go by yourself, and if so, are the night active specialities easy to find?
Or can you recommend a guide?
How about car hire, finding your way and other logistics? Always been a bit cautious traveling Japan solo due to the language barrier!
Any info much appreciated.
Cheers
Morten
