Masked Laughing Thrush (Lamma Island)

I wonder if there is only this single individual of this species on Lamma.  Although it makes itself known quite readily, I have never seen or heard more than this one.  In other parts of Hong Kong it is typical to see small parties and the species is highly greagarious, so it would be unlikely that a number of separate individuals would chose to live apart.  What is the explanation for this - a single release beyond the normal range, or a decline in a formerly larger population?

Great portrait of this bird, by the way.
