Hi Kent.
If you go from YSW ferry pier & head towards Hung Shing Ye Beach & you come to Reservoir Road which eventually starts to go up hill... that leads to back of Tai Shan West.
However, not sure yr trip will be any different than if you found any other North facing hill in Hong Kong.. find a good spot & see what appears.
Birds on Lamma are no different to anywhere else in HK. Mainly thrushes everywhere.
I have been sitting 8+hrs/day in the same spot in a hide for about 1 month now... sometimes for 3hrs at a time without seeing even a Bulbul.
Today was like that. Siberian Rubythroat at 07:45.. then very few birds all day... then at 5:00pm, thrushes & warblers... but too dark to photograph sensibly
Other times I am lucky.
Good luck. Guy
