some more from today.... oh and by the way....
Had some fun getting the pretty lady.... was in the hide with Neil just after photographing her...... heard a crashing sound & loud rustling just outside behind the hide..... 10 seconds later a rat crashed thru the front of the hide & ran between my legs.... closely followed by a large Ratsnake.......... Fortunately the Ratsnake didn't continue with its pursuit.
Neil & I had a few moments nervous chatter & then heard a noise on top of the hide.... I got the short straw & stepped outside.... I came face to face with the snake on the roof of the hide...... naturally I backed off to a suitable distance.... Neil?.... not sure.... think he may still be in the hide.
All the best, Guy

I believe you will find (or have found) a great variety of species at that spot!

Thanks Beetle.... hope there are more to come.
Not sure if this is the same Japanese Thrush as before.... 2 minutes earlier, the previous one had bathed & argued and stood its ground with  Bulbuls... then this one came along but did not venture to water.. (photo to follow...)

This shot was taken a few minutes earlier. She was harangued by the Bulbuls, but chased them off.... finished her bathing & then left....

I'm finding it too difficult refraining from posting more thrush shots as I am taking so many each day... am still getting seemingly new arrivals of the same species with different plumage that I don't recognise (not this one)....

From yesterday.... but she was back again today...... had a total of 233 thrush visits in 5 hours (10:00-11:00[64], 12:00-13:30[48], 14:30-17:00[121])today (10/01).... kept me busy just counting let alone taking photos.
Assume there must have been some new arrivals recently....
