Excellent shots of what can be a difficult bird to photograph simply because it tends to be quite high up in trees, and often against a pale grey/white winter's sky. Also intensely coloured males are scarcer than paler female/imm birds. Then I noticed there was not only this magnificent male, but what would appear to be a second in the background!

Exceptional occurrence!

I was so lucky to found this bird, and they alway standing at the lower portion of a
a tree, anyway thank you Jacky and Mike comment.
