[Curlews] Marsh Sandpiper with flag

This is a Marsh Sandpiper, rather than a Greenshank (particularly notice the thin, straight bill).
I guess that you probably got this photo on the fishpond next to the reserve. N4 has been staying around that fishpond most days recently.

I took photos of the same N4N4 two weeks ago ..still alone?
It's not completely alone, as there are usually Wood Sandpipers, Spotted Redshank, Avocets and/or ducks on the same pond. But it isn't part of the main Marsh Sandpiper flock feeding in the intertidal area.
Some waders seem to choose to stay around the fish ponds - some Greenshank and Spotted Redshank do the same, and I suspect also some Avocets. I don't know why.
