[Outing] 16/3/2014 蒲台島觀鳥活動 Po Toi Island Outing

I'm interested in the Mew Gull record here. Where was it? (possible new species for Po Toi) Any photos?

I went yesterday. 110 Black-tailed Gulls in the East Lamma Channel.
On the Island, many Barn Swallows, one each of Pacific Swift, Brown Shrike (wintering), Japanese Thrush and Black-faced Bunting plus some of the above.

The first new spring migrants may arrive on Friday if there is a weather change, but it is still just a bit early.

Thanks Peter.

The general consensus is that this is not a Mew Gull, but possibly a larger gull such as Heuglin's.

Thanks for posting
Geoff
