A Grey Wagtail hopped among tree branches in the late afternoon. It had breeding plumage, but its colours were strange to me. Its breast and belly were much browner than other grey wagtails, and its moustachial stripes and flanks were pink in colour. Was it a normal grey wagtail, or was it a special sub-species? Thank you.
