Po Toi November 2015

Thanks Peter, a good day. I am sure from your other photo (not shown) that this is a Red-breasted Flycatcher.

I've mentioned before how in autumn it sometimes takes three or four days after the cold front passes through before the birds arrive - see these graphs comparing Spring (when birds arrive immediately after the cold front) and Autumn (when it can take a few more days). This is all due to the different migration routes in spring and autumn, across the sea in spring and over land/around the coast in autumn.

The cold front passed through on Sunday, the Alstrom's (Plain-tailed) Warbler arrived soon after but the others took longer.

I understand a Hume's Leaf Warbler was also seen on Thursday near to the Alstom's, photos taken and voice recordings made. But they are not mine.

This one looks like Red-throated KK - are you sure it's the same bird?

Good records Leo. Particularly interested in the Flycatcher.

The second thrush photo above looks like Brown-headed or possibly Eyebrowed to me - grateful for other opinions.
