白變噪鵑 Leucistic Common Koel

That's quite a stunning bird. Congratulations for getting photos. I will be sure to look out for it next time I am at Mai Po.

The fact that the iris is not red perhaps suggests that it is a first-year bird, although it's difficult to know whether this may also have been affected by the colour mutation. I'm not sure how else to age it based on the photos.
There is clearly passage of koels through Mai Po at the moment, with good numbers throughout the reserve. I don't think it's possible to say whether it was hatched at Mai Po or is a migrant from elsewhere.

By the way, the warbler labelled ??? in post #6 is an Arctic Warbler.
