Thanks John!

You are correct, P2 has been reported at Nam Sang Wai for quite a few winters and reported by you in 2011, 2012 and 2016.
It was ringed on 17-Sep-2011 as a first year bird, so it is now 9 years old.
It was reported at Nam Sang Wai in winter 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14, 2016-17, 2018-19, 2019-20.

Thanks John,

Common Greenshank W2 was ringed on 27-Mar-2017 as an adult. All resightings come from Mai Po:
Mar-Apr-2017; Oct-Nov-2017 and May-2018; Nov-2018 and Mar-Apr-2019; Oct-2020 and Feb-2020.
Very good to see it come back for wintering again.

Common Redshank DY was ringed on 14-Feb-2021 as an adult. It is carrying a GPS tag as shown in your photo.
This bird was resighted in Apr and Aug.
Tag data show this bird utilise Mai Po mudflat and visit Nam Sang Wai quite often.

Cheers,
Katherine

Little ringed Plover - P6 (around 1600-1700h)

Marsh Sandpiper - L1 (not 100% sure, too dark and far away to make conclusion, but certainly with "L") - (around 1730)

Avocet - flagged (arrived at 1900, too dark to see the marks)

Thanks Captain.

Little Ringed Plover P6 was ringed on 20-Dec-2017 as an adult male.
It has been reported in March-2018 at Mai Po; April-2019 in San Tin with a female.
Nice to know it is still around and alive.

We did put L1 flag on a Marsh Sandpiper in Oct-2019, which was observed by you at Mai Po Boardwalk in Apr-2020 and later on by myself in Feb-2021 at Mai Po GW#22.
I'll keep your sighting as a possible record.

Katherine
