And shorter tertials.   Some elements of face pattern may favour Pechora though.   Mike Turnbull Logged Paul Leader BBS Member BBS Senior Member     Posts: 83 Re: Richard's Pipit ?? « Reply #6 on: Oct 12th, 2006, 10:21am » Quote Modify This is certainly not a Pechora.  It is overall too dull, Pechora is a a richly coloured pipit, in addition the dark lores and eyestrpie and super extending well behind the eye are both wrong.  Finally, Pechora is the only pipit which shows primary projection beyond the tertials which is lacking in this bird.  It is a Red-throated Pipit, albeit on the well-marked side.
