After hearing of Richard's success at the waterfront park earlier in the week I went down to see if I could pick up any Daurian Starlings. I was surprised that a significant number of black-necked starlings were already at roost by 5.30pm but did manage to pickup two Daurian Starlings. Ruy Barretto found the first one which flew and was then joined by a second. The tower is an excellent spot to watch from (if a little unstable!). The numbers of birds for the other species below are estimates, the swifts were hard to count and I wasn't watching the egrets consistently as they streamed in.
