Mai Po Pond 16/17 on 6 Apr 2022

Thank you for all these records.

Common Redshank (all are wintering birds):

CN, CU - both ringed in Nov-2020. Both being the 9th report, all from Mai Po.

DP, DT - ringed in Jan-2021, 6th and 7th sighting at Mai Po.

DY - ringed in Feb-2021, seen 15th times at Mai Po since.

D1, Y2 - both ringed in Sep-2020, both seen once in Shenzhen Futian, 13th and 18th report from Mai Po.

KT, KV, KW - both ringed in Nov-2021, 7th, 11th and 7th report from Mai Po.

LV - just newly ringed on 3-Apr-2022

M4 - ringed in Nov-2018, reported 22 times since including two summer sightings(May-2020, Jun-2021)from Mongolia near Ulaanbataar.

W2 - ringed in Oct-2019, 17th report, all from Mai Po

Z1 - ringed in Sep-2020, 5th report from Mai Po

We haven't use flag Z7 on Common Greenshank, so I guess it might be a Marsh Sandpiper instead, ringed in Nov-2021, 5th sighting.

Marsh Sandpiper T1 - ringed only a few days earlier (3-Apr-2022), 1st sighting.

Curlew Sandpiper with black-over-yellow flag is from Kamchatka, Russia. Nice sighting as I understand not many Curlew Sandpiper were flagged there.

Greater Sand Plover with yellow flag is from Eighty Mile Beach, North-west Australia (approx. -19.662195, 120.894816).

Will pass both foreign bird sightings to the corresponding researchers.
