Thanks for posting this ringed Purple Heron. My group has ringed a Purple Heron earlier this year on 25 Feb 2023 at pond 14 reedbed just outside Education Centre. This photoed bird is likely the one we caught. It was a juvenile in our catch, meaning it was born last year 2022.

Good to learn it is doing good and still around Mai Po.
