Nice shot, Bob.
A side issue for your expert opinion: how do you find the difference between Nikon's P5100 and 8400 in terms of ease of use, picture quality and noise control at different ISO's? You may wish to know that I am now using P5100 for digiscoping.

Peter,

I don't have a Nikon 5100 but Neil has both camera's. Have a look on flickr.com for his digiscoping pages.

I think you can judge the quality of the Nikon 8400 by looking at Wing's photos, they are terrific

Re your enquiry on the difference between P5100 and 8400, perhaps I can answer you as I have tried P5100 before, however, I gave it to my son at last.

P5100 win 8400 in every aspect except picture quality. It is a very good dc for digiscoping, use it with confidence.
