基金資助亞洲地區內和鳥類保護有關的研究、監測、教育和能力建設工作。
｢香港觀鳥會亞洲自然保育基金」的宗旨是資助以保育亞洲地區鳥類為目標的相關研究、監測、教育和能力建設等項目，對香港鳥類有直接或間接影響、或有助相關國家或地區實現｢愛知生物多樣性目標」 的行動計劃或保育項目可獲優先考慮。此基金款項全數來自香港觀鳥會會員及支持者的捐款。
每個項目資助金額最高可達2,000美元，由香港觀鳥會亞洲自然保育基金委員會負責審批。

HKBWS Asia Conservation Fund supports research, monitoring, education and capacity building for bird conservation in the region, with a higher priority given to i) projects that target species that occur in Hong Kong or on the East Asian-Australasian Flyway; and ii) projects that assist the relevant country in meeting Aichi Biodiversity Targets and implementing its action plan. Funds are donations from members and supporters of the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society.
The funding amount can be up to USD2,000. Applications will be reviewed by the HKBWS Asia Conservation Fund committee.
