農曆年假完畢，只可以在早上上班前拍它幾張，幸好麻鷹夫婦約七時許便開工，才 不致於交白卷。
The Kites started work shortly after 7 each morning, allowing me to take a few shots before going to work.
喜鵲亦繼續騷擾。
The Magpies remained a nuisance.
2月2日早上上班途中，首次見到喜鵲銜著樹枝回到巢位，原來牠們也開始出一分力 了！
2/2/06 saw a Magpie carrying sticks to the nest on my way to work – so they are also contributing after all.
4/2/06
今天不用上班，早上8時許見到喜鵲A銜著樹枝，站在窗外的冷氣機上小休，然後往 巢飛去，是怕我看不見牠也在努力嗎？
Magpie A appeared outside my window at about 8, with a twig in its bill. Was it trying to remind me that it was their nest?
9時多到達球場，就如場記婆婆所說，等了整個上午都沒有太多活動，只是偶然見 到喜鵲和麻鷹回巢作短暫停留。
I visited the playground at about 9, but not much happened that morning.
鳥巢工程也沒有多大進展，開始懷疑牠們是否認真的。
There was little progress with the nest – were they serious?
下午1時許麻鷹（太太？）回來，一對喜鵲守在附近，麻鷹不敢回巢，盤旋了一會 便飛走。
Mrs. (?) Kite returned at around 1 p.m. She left without landing because the Magpies were guarding the nest.
不久又有一只麻鷹帶著樹枝回來，可能喜鵲認出了這是較凶的麻鷹先生，夫婦倆一 見便馬上插水式俯衝離開平台。
(Mr.) Kite appeared shortly afterwards with a twig in its claws. This time the Magpies dove immediately to the ground, as if knowing that this one couldn't be bullied so easily.
麻鷹先生在天上盤旋，喜鵲從後面施襲，糾纏了一會麻鷹終於可以放在巢上放下樹 枝，很快便飛走了。
Nevertheless Mr. Kite still had to endure some airborne attack before he could lay down the twig and leave.
除了麻鷹夫婦之外，當地週圍還有其他的麻鷹，球場上一片天空是牠們的立體遊樂場，麻鷹整天在那裡遊蕩、玩耍、追逐、打架、聚會、覓食、拍拖、求偶…。當日趁場記婆婆去了吃飯，有一對還給我示範了「無敵風火輪」（在空中四爪互扣旋轉而下－猛禽的求偶舞）！可惜管得看來便管不了拍攝，未能留下證據和各位共賞。
The air space above the pitch is a 3-D playground for several Kites. You can see all sorts of behavior including playing, chasing, fighting, gathering, moonlighting, courting…. Two of them played cart-wheeling before my eyes, but sorry, I was too surprised to take any photos.

（奉天承運，「喜鵲」召曰... 「接旨」...  ），
接著喜鵲又「飛」過去登臺演出了（高來高去∼）...

參考網上的資料，「無敵風火輪」可能是求偶行為，也可能是玩耍或者打架：
Birds in Backyards - Black Kite
"Black Kites nest in isolated pairs or in small, scattered colonies. As with other raptors, a ritualised aerial courtship display is performed by both sexes. This involves loud calling, grappling of feet (talons), and tumbling or cartwheeling. The nest is a bulky cup of sticks, lined with softer material, and is placed in the fork of a tree branch (generally close to the trunk). The female incubates the eggs while the male provides food."

"In 1993, Rob Simmons and John Mendelsohn, Namibian raptophiles extraordinaire reviewed cartwheeling amongst 39 raptor species. They concluded that 76% of cartwheeling displays were cued by aggression rather than courtship. In a few instances play behaviour was invoked, especially when youngsters were involved. But generally the nature of this parent-offspring interaction was clearly aggressive in nature. Tim Liversedge induced over 200 carthweeling events in 5 years by providing fish to African Fish Eagles along territory boundaries, and also concluded that these were fierce intra-sexual aggressive encounters."

在過去兩星期內，鳥巢已經正式變成鵲巢了，每天都只有喜鵲在築巢，而麻鷹則只 有旁觀的份兒。
The Magpies had claimed the nest for themselves in the last two weeks. The Kites could only watch nearby.

其中一只麻鷹每天大清早便來看巢，而每次都給凶惡的喜鵲驅趕。
One of the Kites kept visiting the nest early every morning, despite strong protests from the Magpies each time.

上星期六、日兩天可以看得久一些，麻鷹只來了幾次。這一只（場記婆婆相信是太太）銜著粉紅色紙巾回巢，但是也不敢放下，飛到附近的平台站了一會，最後放開口讓紙巾隨風飄走。
I had more time for observation last Saturday and Sunday. The Kites only came a few times. This one (Etta thought it was the wife) brought back a pink tissue, but dared not put it on the nest. It stayed at a nearby post for a while and finally let it drift with the wind.

這只麻鷹（相信是先生）這樣做已算是很大膽的了，而且只留了不夠一分鐘便離開 。
This was a bold move (probably by the male), and lasted less than 1 minute.

就算喜鵲飛走了，麻鷹也不敢落到巢上，只留在圍欄上觀看，有時還發出 Ki--- 的叫聲，真的有點淒涼。
Even when the Magpies were away, the Kite still shied away from the nest itself. Its “ki ----” whine suggests sadness to me.
情況到今天也沒有改變，看來這麻鷹（太太）非常捨不得這巢位，總是不願忘記。
The situation remained the same today. It seems to me that this (Mrs.) Kite could not forget about this nest site.

由另一角度拍攝。十分同意地，當透過望遠鏡觀察，一股傷感由雌鳶直透心內，盪 漾胸臆。
Just photographed from another angle. I totally agree that while I looked at the Kite through the binoculars, a strong flow of sadness poured into my heart. I was moved.

往鳥毛的來源找．
才見到鷹大哥在燈柱上 拔毛
鳥毛隨風而散，
小鳥就此被 天葬 了．

過去一星期情況沒有改變，麻鷹太太照舊不斷來訪，喜鵲亦照舊逐客。
Mrs. Kite kept visiting the nest, and was repelled by the Magpies each time.

這天麻鷹太太銜來一隻黑色的襪子，會不會是上次留下的另外一隻？
Mrs. Kite brought a sock to the nest – could it be the counterpart of the one we saw weeks ago?
「我好憎你呀！」
“Get out of my nest!”
喜鵲無動於衷，麻鷹太太把「禮襪」留下，走了。
Failing to move the Magpies, the “present” was left on the railing.

今天早上麻鷹夫婦銜著紙巾雙雙出動，就像兩個幪面俠，但是仍舊不得要領。
The Kites came together this morning with white tissue paper in their bills, but still without any success.
麻鷹先生先走，留下太太獨自面對喜鵲。
Soon Mrs. Kite had to face the Magpies alone,…
麻鷹太太口中的白布不久便丟了。
and soon dropped the rag in her bill.

兩麻鷹在喜鵲巢上干擾、逗留。其後四麻鷹在球場上嬉戲抓玩。麻鷹嘯嗚頻仍。
Two Kites stopped over the spotlights, confronted with the magpies. Then, four Kites chased and played over the field. They called frequently.
